We started the Bike Shed with our annual show, before any full time destination venue. It was created by a dozen amateur moto enthusiasts as a celebration of motorcycle design, people and culture, reflected in cafe racers, brat-style, scramblers and street trackers.

We now embrace all styles of two wheels, including adventure, dirt, track/race, street, electric and vintage/classic.

The first show, held in 2013, under railway arches a few hundred metres from our current full time location in London, had 55 bikes and attracted 3,000 people, with pop-up barbershop, tattoos, bars, street food vans and curated retail. It was packed.

A decade later we welcomed 17,000 people to see over three-hundred new custom and unique motorcycles, curated by us, with more bars, more food, more vendors, more retailers, more live bands, plus our added ShedTalk panel-talk podcasts hosted live at the event (and soon to be edited for YouTube).

What hasn't changed is the team behind the event. The BSMC team still runs the entire show, with a volunteer force of members and ex-BSMC staff. We do all we can to make the event better every year, and remain one of the best moto shows in the world, as well as being good value for money, for attendees and participants.

We are very grateful for the support of the moto-community, and the hard work put in by our BSMC team, the incredible talent of the bike builders, the volunteer members (some flew in from LA), and the whole moto family, from OEM CEOs to volunteer parking marshals, and small businesses who should probably charge us double for services to us, and the show, above & beyond the norm.

If you haven't been to the Bike Shed Moto Show show before, mark the last weekend in May on your calendar - every year - and come and join the festival vibe of this incredible event in 2024 and beyond. And, yes, we will bring this event to the US next year.
